Threnody (2020)
Short Film | 2m 30sec | Michael Rostig
Made as part of the Southwest Contemporary Gallery's 'Video Show' this work tries to emphasise some of the madness and instability of a year filled with fires, infections and general disarray. A combination of styles, sounds and scenes with some direct inspiration taken from Suzan Pitt's Pinball.

'Michael Rostig’s “Threnody” is an abstract animation playing with the sheer pleasure of colour, shape and time, from which the figurative and human sometime irrupts.'
-Alex Sutcliffe, DRIVE-IN AVANT-GARDE
